We want to thank our wonderful clients for a fun-filled year!
From the many school dances and special events at Cossitt, Hollywood, Blythe, and Park Jr. High - to several Block Parties around the Village of Brookfield and surrounding suburbs - a great time was had by all. We had Karaoke at the Sheridan Avenue Block Party, and Tim Field really stood out with his awesome James Taylor vocals. The Brookfield Elks Lodge No. 1510 held a Member Appreciation night with great food, prizes, music and dancing. I strongly recommend that everyone (men and women) check out The Elks fraternal organization and consider membership in this wonderful organization which does so much for our veterans, plus they deliver food baskets to needy families, provide scholarships, and other charitable donations.
Birthday parties DJ'd included Frank Nardi & Sarah Joyner, and I had the pleasure of DJ'g Hilde Elg's "Titanic theme" Retirement Party. Weddings included "Laird & Lady McCune" AKA Mark & Sherry McCune, and Kathleen & Mike Kuta. Summer weather was ushered in at Chuck & Michelle's Annual Pool Party, followed by The Brookfield Chamber of Commerce Annual Street Dance . . . Teresa Swanson of Sway Dance Studio again choreographed the Flash Mob Dance, and provided dance instructions that evening and also at Ms. Clara's Mini Musicians Studio on Broadway Avenue in Brookfield.
Riverside Swim Club Awards Banquet was another huge success with swimming and poolside dancing. Reil Construction celebrated 25 years with a Country Hoedown out in Union, Illinois. Halloween parties included Park Jr. High and Riverside Recreation Dept.'s "Howloween."
Cold weather returned with Christmas parties, and my favorite repeat customer is YUASA International in Elk Grove Village - they are real "party people" and love to dance!
On the "Band" front: Toby, along with Co-Producer and Drummer, Nelson Santiago, and Guitarist, David Cannon, were guests on WGN Radio: Dave Hoekstra's "Nocturnal Journal" Show. They chatted about Toby's musical career and performed Toby's original songs "GHOSTTOWN" and "HEY CHICAGO". Dave Hoekstra played Toby's "RONNIE WOO" single for all the CUB fans.
Also, Nelson and Toby co-wrote a song called "JUST AIN'T CHRISTMAS (WITHOUT YOU)" which was picked up by Nashville Publisher MerfMusic. Toby continues writing and recording, and will be out performing in the near future.
